Wild West Town

This is in Union on US Highway 20. During the summer they have actors play the part of cowboys and gals. They may arrest your kid or make them a deputy. There is a museum and antique store adjacent to the Wild West Town. It has a KOA campground next door. Nearby you can go to the Illinois Railroad Museum. There you can ride the Zephyr. The same one used in the movie "A League of Their Own."

There use to be another larger park next door called Shireland. My kids loved it. However, it could not compete with the likes of Great America and Santa's Village. I think it is a shame it was just the right size for a day trip.
