I hope to take another trip like this to see whales and puffins. On the advice of my brother, we went to the dock in Bar Harbor to sign up for a puffin cruise. The folks there were offering a combination puffin and whale cruise. It was worth every penny. We saw lots of seals, puffins and other birds. However, the biggest thrill for everyone on board was seeing both a finback and a humpback whale. I have several pictures of the experience including some next to a boat. I just liked the tail shot. We had long enough sightings that even the lady in the gum commercial could have seen a whale.
